PROGRAM
THIRD PILL EPISODE 3: THE ULTIMATE PLAYLIST The Apocalypse is round corner, and we do want to be prepared. Occulto Magazine asked some brilliant composers, musicians and other music professionals to recommend old and new tracks that can help us on the way. Occulto Magazine will also curate video projections and paper installations that will be on display all night long. DU CHAMP - liveset Du Champ is an Italian scientist, musician and curator based in Berlin. A true pedal junkie, she switched rapidly from garage punk to psychedelia and from psychedelia to experimental music; from guitar to bass guitar and from baritone guitar to accordion. She makes drones in the attempt to re-create the sense of bliss of hearing the vacuum cleaner and the hair dryer when she was a child. duchampdrone.tumblr.com TATSEMME (Tatsumi Ryusui + EMME) - liveset The Italo-Japanese duo TATSEMME! is interested in sounds, noises, silences.
It practices instant compositions with the right amount of unconsciousness, creating soundscapes where different elements meet or clash each other. Tatsumi Ryusui: guitar, kalimba, ovosono, effects Emme!: prepared snare drum, tibetan bowls, kalimbas, cymbals, bells, mollofono BORING MACHINES DISTRO We will be proudly distributing Boring Machines music releases this time and during all the future Occulto Magazine shows and events. Boring Machines is a record label started in 2006 by Onga. A general taste for discomfort and anger, long meditations and psychedelic state is what Boring Machines cares of. Every release is housed in recycled/recyclable thick paper and it's lovingly hand assembled at Boring Machines HQ.
Check the beautiful stuff they're producing here: www.boringmachines.it

Occulto Magazine affirms the cultural value of scientific knowledge and the potential of an interdisciplinary approach opened to deviance and irony. Its research also questions past and present attempts to find shortcuts to knowledge (and power), the fascination towards the irrational and revealed truths. What lies behind the insurmountable gap dividing humanities and science?
